Electrophotonic Imaging Based Analysis of Diabetes

چکیده
Diabetes is defined as hyperglycemia for a long term. Abnormal glucose metabolism leading to hyperglycemia defines diabetes [1]. Diabetes Mellitus is a family of diseases with increased levels of blood sugar due to defects in insulin action or secretion associated with long term damage or failure of various organs like eyes kidneys, blood vessels and nerves [2]. Presence of sugar in the blood for a long time leads to various disorders like thickening of the arterial walls causing blood pressure to increase and organs and organ systems becoming weaker and non-functional due to non-availability of the required quantity of glucose [3]. Obesity, high fat diet and sedentary lifestyle contribute to the prevalence of type2 diabetes [4]. Diabetes is a lifestyle non-communicable disorder.

Correlation of Electrophotonic Imaging Parameters With Fasting Blood Sugar in Normal, Prediabetic, and Diabetic Study Participants
INTRODUCTION Electrophotonic imaging (EPI), also known as gas discharge visualization, is a technique of capturing images of phenomena not quantifiable by the naked eye. Different sectors at the tip of fingers represent various organs and systems as per the Chinese system of acupuncture. The images from these fingertips can be used to determine the state of health. This is done with the help of...
متن کاملTissue Doppler Imaging Findings and Lipid Profile Changes in Diabetes Mellitus Type I Children
Background Diabetes mellitus type I (DMTI) is one of the most common endocrine and metabolic conditions in childhood. We aimed to assess the tissue Doppler imagining changes in children with DMTI compared to healthy children. Materials and Methods This case-control study was performed on 96 DMTI and 96 healthy children. The d...
متن کاملThe electrophotonic silicon biosensor
The emergence of personalized and stratified medicine requires label-free, low-cost diagnostic technology capable of monitoring multiple disease biomarkers in parallel. Silicon photonic biosensors combine high-sensitivity analysis with scalable, low-cost manufacturing, but they tend to measure only a single biomarker and provide no information about their (bio)chemical activity. Here we introdu...
متن کاملElectrophotonic Imaging Technology in the Diagnosis of Autonomic Nervous System in Patients with Arterial Hypertension
A significant prevalence of arterial hypertension (AH), its role in the early decline of health, disability and mortality determined the relevance of this study. Despite the fact that the history of the study of AH has more than 130 years, if counting from the appearance of the first devices for measuring blood pressure, there are still many unclear and controversial issues in the pathogenesis ...
